House sitting on Tamborine Mountain
Being given the opportunity to house and pet sit in Tamborine village at the foot of Tamborine Mountain was a dream come true for us. The climate was mild with temperatures at least 15 degrees warmer than what we had left behind in New Zealand and we were ready for some sunshine after a cold and wet winter.
Tamborine Mountain in south-west Queensland is covered in natural rainforest and enjoys a moderate and temperate climate making it the perfect stop-off location for two cold kiwis.

The Glasshouse Restaurant
Living like a local for a few days in a given location often presents unexpected opportunities and experiences. Not least of which was a recommendation that we visit Brick Bay Winery and sculpture Trail.
As we began our journey back to Auckland after our long weekend on Kawau Island we headed there to enjoy lunch and a wander through the park which showcases some of New Zealand’s most exciting artists.

Streetart in Bay of Plenty New Zealand
We just came across some surprising street art on our travels around New Zealand. As we’ve travelled around the world street art has become somewhat of an obsession. Our favourite so far was Melbourne.
Recently whilst travelling through the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand we were delighted to discover some surprising street art. As it happened it is some of the most intriguing of street art we’ve ever seen.
What a great business/environment idea. Perhaps hotels could twin with this bees concept and have tourists sponsor the move.
A bee farmer in Peterborough is hoping to create a buzz with a new initiative to encourage business chiefs to twin their companies with honeybee hives.
